Doctor Yourchek was born in Vancouver Canada, but spent most of his teenage years in Stockton California. After four years of undergraduate studies at Stanford University, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1960 after which he was accepted at the prestigious George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington DC where he graduated as a doctor of medicine in 1964.
After four years of serving as a physician in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, he returned to Stanford University School of Medicine to complete a three-year residency in dermatology. He is licensed in both California and Hawaii and has practiced in Stockton California since 1973.
Dr. Yourchek has many university affiliations and is a lifetime member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
